Why am I not getting any responses from other Promatching members?
Make sure that you fully completed your profile. You will get the indication in
your My account
panel on the bottom left hand side. Your profile won’t show up
in the profiles list until it is completely filled.
If you profile was newly created, your profile may not be searchable just yet. If
you are not getting responses from other Promatching members after few days, chances
are that your profile is getting filtered with other members' settings and you don't
meet their messaging restrictions. Or it might be time to spice up your profile.
Here are some suggestions that you can try to get more responses:
- Make sure you have posted photos in your profile. People are more comfortable chatting
with someone they have seen and have idea of who they are talking to. Photos communicate
personality and your likes and dislikes.
- Make your description, well, a little more descriptive. The more you talk about
yourself, the more it will make you stand out in the dating crowd and possibly attract
people who are good fit for you.
- Make contacts with people. If you find someone with the same interests as yours,

Most of the times, the newly created profiles or profiles with not enough information
are not displayed on the site right away. If you just created your account with
all the correct information, it will start appearing shortly on the website.

Filling in the full profile is not a requirement, but if you fill in your full profile,

After logging in, you can upload your pictures from your "My Account" page. On the left menu, click on "Upload Pictures" and browse to your hard disk folder or the location where you want to upload pictures from. After you have uploaded all the pictures, click on "save to my profile". They will start showing on your profile. The first picture will be your main profile picture.

Can I block certain members?
Yes, you can block members and set if the members contacting you should have pictures
or not, how long the message should be and other similar restrictions. In your My
Account
tab in your control panel, go to
Block Members
and enable as many settings as you want. Make sure to take advantage of these features
to avoid unwanted contacts.
What if I am in a rush and want to quickly browse through the profiles
that interest me?
You can use the
Quick Dating Options
for singles. With only a few clicks you can filter the matches that interest you.
You can further filter them down by using the quick search options on the top of
the quick dating option results.
Are there any guidelines that I should be following while creating
or updating my profile?
Yes, it is very important to adhere to the following guidelines while creating or
updating your profile:
- You should be at least 18 years of age
- Not use any abusive language of any kind. That includes vulgarity or racism.
